While we strive to ensure every order is perfect, we understand that there may be times when returns, replacements, or refunds are necessary.
This Refund & Return Policy explains in detail how returns and refunds are handled, so you have a clear understanding of your rights and responsibilities before placing an order.
1. Our General Approach
Because we serve business clients (B2B) and specialize in custom packaging, our policy is different from regular retail stores. Many of our products are made specifically for your order, which means they cannot simply be resold.
- Custom Orders are typically non-refundable once production begins.
- Standard (Non-Custom) Products may be eligible for return or exchange under certain conditions.
- If there is ever a manufacturing mistake, quality defect, or shipping error on our part, we will take full responsibility and provide a refund or replacement.
2. Custom Orders, Refunds & Cancellations
Custom orders are created based on your unique specifications (size, design, color, material, and branding). Because of this, they cannot usually be returned or refunded unless there is an error caused by Make A Boxes.
Refunds are possible if:
- The boxes do not match the approved proof (e.g., wrong size, color, or printing).
- There is a manufacturing defect that makes the product unusable.
- The order arrives damaged due to our production process.
Cancellations:
- You may cancel an order only before production begins.
- If you cancel after the proof approval but before production starts, a 20% cancellation fee will be applied.
- Once production begins, cancellations and changes are not possible.
3. Non-Refundable Products
The following products are not eligible for refunds unless defective:
- Custom-made packaging (including logo-printed or special-size boxes).
- Personalized items (with your branding, text, or graphics).
These items are produced uniquely for your business, which means they cannot be reused or resold.
4. Standard (Non-Custom) Products
In rare cases where you purchase ready-made, non-custom packaging items, returns and exchanges are allowed under the following conditions:
- You must request a return within 15 days of receiving your order.
- Products must be unused, undamaged, and in original packaging.
- A 10–15% restocking fee may be applied.
- The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
5. Damaged or Defective Orders
If your order arrives damaged or defective, we will take immediate steps to resolve the issue.
What you need to do:
- Report the issue within 7 days of delivery.
- Provide clear photos of the damaged items, packaging, and shipping label.
- Once verified, we will offer either:
- A full refund, or
- A free replacement order.
Please inspect your delivery upon arrival. If the package appears damaged, note it with the courier before signing.
6. Incorrect or Missing Items
If you receive the wrong items or your order is incomplete:
- Notify us within 7 days of delivery.
- Provide your order number and details of the issue (photos if applicable).
- We will quickly ship the correct items or issue a refund for the missing products.
7. Refund Process
- Approval Time: Refunds are processed within 10–14 business days once approved.
- Method: Refunds are issued to your original payment method (or an alternative if necessary).
- Partial Refunds: If only part of the order is returned, or if restocking fees apply, a partial refund will be issued.
8. Exchanges
- Custom Orders: Exchanges are only possible if there was a manufacturing defect.
- Standard Products: Exchanges are allowed within the 15-day return window if products are unused and in original condition.
9. Return Shipping Costs
- For non-defective product returns, the customer pays for return shipping.
- For defective, damaged, or incorrect orders, Make A Boxes covers the shipping cost.
All returns must be shipped using a trackable and insured method. We are not responsible for returns lost or damaged in transit.

We may revise this policy at any time to reflect changes in business practices or legal requirements. Updates will always be posted on our website and will apply to all future transactions.
